Hat-Trick Hayes Helps Vixens complete the Double in Local Derby

South Reading Vixens 7 - 0 Reading Girls
30th November 2003

Deanna - sound defensive work The Vixens hosted the return of their local rivals Reading Girls on Sunday knowing that they would be no push-over this time around. The improvement was there for all to see as the Vixens were not afforded as much possesion in the opening quarter of the match. However, the inevitable breakthrough did come from Siobhan Hayes who finished a great passing move to signal the way forward for the Vixens before going on to complete her own hat-trick.

With the half-time score at 4-0, the Vixens made some defensive changes which brought together a great partnership between Charlotte Bowcock and Sian Huntley who were letting nothing past. Other goalscorers were Captain Chloe Lyons & Serena Cox who each bagged a brace.

Reading Girls should be applauded for their much improved performance in this match having suffered heavily at the feet of the Vixens in the opening game of the season.

Vixens man-of-the-match went to Deanna Peters who kept a clean sheet both in goal and defence.
