South Reading Vixens

With no league fixture scheduled, the Vixens took on Woodley Saints in a pre-Christmas friendly. Despite the cold conditions both teams worked hard from the start, with the energetic Perri shining for the Vixens. But first half chances were few and far between for both sides, with South Reading’s best effort coming from Azara after good work by Deanna.

After the break it was much the same, with much of the game being played in midfield. Yasmin forced a good save from the Saints keeper midway through the half, and a couple of minutes later Woodley broke through and hit the post. Shannon B made a good run with just five minutes remaining but saw her shot go wide, and the game drew to a close without any score.
