	South Reading Vixens Girls Football in South Reading
	South Reading Vixens 9 - 0 Farnborough Diamonds 12th March 2006 Playing their first ever game at Whitley Wood Rec, the Vixens enjoyed a comfortable win over rivals Farnborough to top their group in the Ash Trophy. The girls now only need a draw in their last game to guarantee a place in the semi-final – although they will of course be going for the win! The Vixens took the opportunity to reshuffle the side, with Alana taking goalkeeping duties for the first half and Stacey, Lauren, Vicky and Amy all claiming a place in the starting lineup. The Vixens had much of the early play and Olivia opened the scoring on 10 minutes with a superb solo effort, netting with a low hard drive into the bottom left hand corner. Hannah then added the second after 16 minutes. The rest of the half remained scoreless with several chances going begging. The half time team talk clearly had the desired effect and the girls returned from the break with renewed determination. Alana added to the Vixens tally in the opening minutes to make it 3-0, this then signalled a goal fest and further efforts from Deanna (2), Hannah, Amber, Jade and Alana secured a comfortable victory. New signing Amy enjoyed a particularly fine debut and was voted by the parents as player of the match. Back to fixture list
