7th June 2003 - Our first trophy - the Southern Counties six-a-side Tournament! The Vixens were making the move to all-girls football, and despite playing a year up in the U12's age group didn't lose a match all day.

21st September 2003 - The team needed a new kit as the girls were outgrowing the old one. Thankfully top local insurance brokers Goss & Co stepped in with a fantastic sponsorship deal to ensure that the girls would be smartly turned out for the new season. Director Mike King is pictured with the team prior to their match with Frimley Green Diamonds.

19th October 2003 - The first of many close fought contests with great rivals Wey Valley. With both teams on a 100 per cent record so far, it was a crucial game for the U12's. Sian, Deanna, Alana and Charlotte are seen here ensuring that the Vixens kept a clean sheet, and with Chloe netting at the other end the girls held on to take all three points.

4th January 2004 - The girls returned from the Christmas break but showed no sign of over-indulging in the chocolate as they romped to an 11-0 win over Woodley Saints. Emily (standing, second from right) was player of the match, dominating the left wing and creating many of the goals.

11th January 2004 - The winter rain had set in as the U12's took on Hart. We arrived early and the girls were raring to go by kick off time. Sian was obviously unimpressed with the pre-match conditions, and the pitch really was unplayable. But the hosts optimistically thought it would drain as the game proceeded, and since we were there we played anyway. The waterlogged ground didn't suit the Vixens passing style, but the girls still managed to run out 11-1 winners with Alana scoring a hat trick.

17th February 2004 - Training night. Younger girls had started joining the Vixens from the start of the season, although there was not yet a team for them to play in. With winter training facilities in short supply, the U12's kindly allowed the "Cubs" some space at the end of their hall at Bulmershe Leisure Centre. Here the girls are wearing their football kit for the first time, before taking on South Reading Boys in their first ever match a few days later.

29th February 2004 - Fashanu's Football Challenge. With no fixture scheduled, the U12's travelled to North London to watch John Fashanu's team in the Bravo TV reality football show. The girls saw Fash FC storm to a dramatic 3-2 win over Hendon, after which they posed with the players and Fash himself for photos - a great bunch, who made everyone most welcome. The big man is the only one suitably dressed for the post-match snowstorm!

6th March 2004 - The Ref leads the teams out for the 2004 U12's Peter Houseman Cup Final. Chloe's hat trick secured the silverware for the Vixens in an exciting 3-2 victory over Wolversdene A, whilst Deanna was selected as player of the match by the officials.

14th March 2004 - The "Cubs" confidence had grown sufficiently to challenge another team to a friendly. Winnersh Rangers entertained a mixture of Under 7's, 8's and 9's, on a bitterly cold Spring morning. Despite the excitement, the girls could mostly concentrate on their pre-match team talk.

|
14th March 2004 - Jordina and Emma push forward, but there is no way through this time. Never mind, Chelsea and Emma scored second half goals to record a 2-0 victory. Winnersh did get their revenge though, winning the return fixture 2-1 a couple of months later.

25th April 2004 - A recruitment drive from the "Cubs" players and parents led to a surge in interest, and several new girls joined the club. We were now able to field Under 8's and Under 10's teams, and we took both squads to face Benson who were also just starting to get their girls teams going. In picturesque surroundings the Under 8's put on a great show to win 3-0 before the Under 10's worked hard to run up a 2-0 victory. It was a thoroughly enjoyable morning with welcoming hosts, the football was played in great spirit, and the two new Vixens teams were up and running.
